Vigilance Taking over the role of DA

For those who have been dealing with vigilance cases in the railways, it must have been a very bitter experience where the Vig. Dept dictates the quantum of punishment and sees to it that the same is implemented in 99 out of 100 cases.

Since they have the power, they misuse it. If the punishment given by the DA is not befitting their suggested punishments, they have the same reviewed.

I do not know for sure if this system prevails in any other organisation. What is more ironical is that the dept keeps chasing the other departments for finalisation of the cases, when the Vig dept itself takes ages to decide upon the cases.

Misuse of Nobel Profession (Doctor)

Today, i.e 12.7.2008 , I noticed one so called clinic and approached the Dr. for a certificate, faking illness. The Dr. conceeded to give me a c ertificate just for Rs.10/- (Ten Rupees Only) without any hesitation. It is really a shame, that such a nobel profession (Doctors are called GOD) is used in this way.

There are many such clinics and Doctors in Bilaspur, and hope the Chief Medical Officer, shall rise from his deep slumber and do something, before one could procure a sick certificate even for a dead man.

The possibility of many more such doctors issuign fake concession certificates cannot be ruled out. The really needy persosn cannot get the same, while the well off can mange by paying a few bucks. WHAT A SHAME ON THE PROFESSION ?

I only wish that the Doctors realise their duty and their conscious awakens their minds.
